2020 will mark the 15th anniversary of the iconic Ruben Alcantara signature Ruben grip, so we’ve had plenty of time to come up with some improvements to this classic grip. We ´ve been wanting to go for this with Ruben for some time now, and now is the time!
As with everything we do here at Flybikes, we look to our team for inspiration and direction, and definitely on the cutting of progressive street riding, Courage has got a lot of peoples attention recently. We’re introducing the Savanna line, the Courage Adams signature frame and bars. Savanna bar comes with incremental 0.5” cut lines to help customize to your own personal width. Pre-cut to Courage’s exact specifications.
We felt that we needed a bit more affordable model in our range of Expert line of bikes, so we changed a few specs without sacrificing strength on the 2021 Electron. We are using the pinch bolt style cranks we used on previous versions of the Electron that we had no claims on, a thicker steel Trebol sprocket and 2-piece steer tube forks. Three details that add a bit of weight, but keeps the strength that we wanted, while cutting the cost of the price of the bike. The Electron is a great mid level bike with a lot of aftermarket parts like Devon grips, Ruben pedals and a Trebol fully sealed rear Cassette hub, double sidewall rims, Trebol tires and a sealed headset.
Just like our Supernova, the 2021 18” Nova comes with the new Trebol Mini Lever and Mini stem. We’ve made some changes to make this bike more affordable for the riders that don’t need a top of the line bike right now. We are now using a one piece seat with the same shape as the Nova Tripod seat, and the Pinch Bolt style cranks we used on the 2017 Nova that we had zero problems with. Even with those small details, the Nova is still probably the best spec’d 18” bike with 18” Fuego tires, Ruben pedals, Ruben 135mm grips, a fully sealed rear Trebol Cassette hub and more. The 2021 Nova comes in Flat Red with Flat Black parts, and Flat Black with Grey tires and grips.
