RACE FACE rim 29" ARC Heavy Duty 30
The ARC Heavyduty rim was developed for the harder paces of MTB sports. Compared to the ARC 30 Offset rim with the same profile, the Heavyduty has a higher wall thickness and is therefore predestined for downhill use or as an e-bike rim. Due to the asymmetrically arranged spoke holes, extremely stiff and durable wheels can be built. This is achieved by a more balanced spoke tension between the drive side and non-drive side.
A specially shaped rim base with a central recess and minimalist, short hooks on the rim flange keep the tire on the rim in every situation, even with low air pressure. If you drive tires on a wide rim, the risk of the tire jumping off is reduced, buckling in curves is prevented and puncture protection is increased. Due to the larger contact surface of the tire, the grip is significantly improved.
The rim is made of forged aluminum 6069, the shock is pinned and additionally glued to increase durability and reduce weight. The black anodized finish saves weight and gives the rims a subtle look with their vinyl decals. With a separately available tubeless kit, the rims can be converted to tubeless ready.
